Freedom

I'm a member of a Bible Journaling group on SCS. Each month the group leader (Julie) shares a theme with us, including a Scripture reference, and we are to journal that theme at some point during the month. We are free to use the verse she shares or we can use any theme-appropriate verse in the Bible.

This month's Freedom, Free, or Freely. 

Julie says... Here is a verse I love using "free" (I am sure it is familiar to all of you) : "and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32 (ESV)

I chose to use that verse for my journal entry.

I wanted to use large letters for the word Freedom, but didn't have any stamps or dies that were the size I wanted. I chose to create the words on my computer and printed them out onto cardstock. I then stamped the birds from the Illustrated Faith Rise Up kit to the piece. I colored the word Freedom with a Copic marker and blended distress ink around the edges. I also added a bit of Washi Tape for a page flag (I like to do that so I can quickly tell which pages have been journaled.

My page is very simple, but I kind of like it.
