Kelly had a great idea to use one stamp twelve different ways in each of the months of 2019... and she asked Barb and I to join her in this adventure, which she called One Plus Twelve. Of course Barb and I quickly agreed and on January 3 we each revealed which stamp would be "the one" stamp. On the third of each month we will reveal another card made with our one stamp.
The stamp I chose for this year-long adventure is the dragonfly from the Unity Be the Best stamp set. You can see my cards from the previous five months HERE.
For June I decided to use a recycled item on my card (sort of in keeping with this quarter's Flea Market Flip series here on my blog).
I tore a page out of a Scholastic Children's Dictionary that I purchased at our local thrift store for $2. Of course the page I chose to use is the one that had the word dragonfly on it.
I stamped directly onto that page from the dictionary for my focal image on my card...
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Stamp Set: Unity Be the Best stamped with Catherine Pooler Midnight Ink and colored with a Prismacolor Colored Pencil
Papers: Recollections Black and White and SU Pumpkin Pie CS and DP from my scrap file
Recycled Item: A Page from the Scholastic Children's Dictionary
Embellishments: Paper Studio Mini Brads and a Dragonfly Brad from an unknown vendor
This is such a neat challenge. I am going to try to remember it and maybe do it next year. Love the idea of using the dictionary page. Great card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty!! I love the off-set layout and the dragonfly charm, Jeanette!!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card- and a great idea too- get alot of use out of your stamps!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the way you stamped directly onto the page that you were recycling. The look is so artsy. 12 different cards with one stamp? What a great idea.
