Proverbs 3:5-6

Most Sundays I have a SumMore Fun (Victorine Originals / Raisin Boat) post on my blog, but I actually traded days with another design team member so that post will be later this week.

So this seemed like the perfect day to show some Bible Journaling. The Bible Art Journaling group on SCS has a monthly theme, chosen by Julie, the group leader. This month's theme is Heart and she pointed us toward Proverbs 3:5-6, though we can use any Scripture that is theme appropriate. However, I actually have a stamp of Proverbs 3:5-6, so I decided to use that passage.

I use an Inspire Bible and there is artwork (for coloring) on that page, but as I often do, I covered it up with designer paper and went a different direction. This is my first journaling Bible and I've discovered that I really prefer using stamps/paper/etc. so in the future, I would choose a Bible that doesn't have artwork for coloring. But I'm not ready to move on to another journaling Bible quite yet. That's not saying I don't own any others. (EEK!) I'm just not ready to move on to one of them yet.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

  1. How very pretty! I’ve not seen people do their Bible journaling on separate cardstock, then adding them, like you’ve done here. I like it!

  2. Happy Mother's Day, Jeanette! I love your bible journaling page! I say do whatever you are most comfortable with :) I think you are my only friend who does it this way (rather than right onto the actual page) so that makes it more unique! I haven't made a card with my TT FOTM yet - it's stamped, so one step done, LOL!
