Long Horn Birthday
For the past two years (plus a few months) I've been part of the Creative Card Chicks group on SCS. Each month one of the members hosts by sending a little packet of goodies to each member and we create cards with those goodies.
This is a bittersweet post because while it's been a great experience, I've decided not to continue into the next round that starts next month. Therefore this is my last card made for the group.
Joyce is this month's host. She sent us such fun in a little orange envelope. This is what she said about it...
In the envelope Y'all will find things to help you channel your inner Texan! Long horns are a thing here, so I thought the Boho Bull from Picket Fence Studio was a perfect image to share. The paper is from my stash and doesn't have a name on it, but I thought the straw was a perfect match to go with the longhorn. The green is just one I loved to add contrast. The twine is from Paper Source and the botanical washi tape is from Hobby Lobby.
While Joyce's kit included some sentiments/sayings (live wild and free, express your wild side, be true to you, truth & freedom), I decided to switch and make mine a birthday card instead. I hope that's okay - a birthday card is more usable in my world.
I hope Joyce and the other Creative Card Chicks like my card.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
In addition to the kit that Joyce sent, I used the following items of my own...
Stamp Set: Technique Tuesday Lots of Sentiments stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Papers: Recollections Black and 110# White and SU Lemon Lime Twist CS
Embellishments: CC Designs Enamel Dots
I love the hay background for your steer skull. What a wonderful masculine birthday design!!
