Ready Set Go with Some Ugly DP

It's the third Wednesday of April which means it's Ready, Set, Go! day.

What is Ready, Set, Go? It's a challenge idea that my friend Kelly came up with - and she invited Barb and I to join her in the fun. Each challenge (we take turns choosing the theme) is to be a little bit more extreme than the norm... a little more challenging.

This month it was my turn to choose the theme. This is the instructions I gave Kelly and Barb...

While we don't post our cards until April 17th (the third Wednesday of the month) one of the fun features of April is April Fool's day, the day when tricks are played and one never knows quite what to expect. I personally could tell you a prank or two that I played through the years, but we'll save that for another day.

In keeping with the idea of pranks and the unexpected I want you to use two things on your card: the UGLIEST piece of designer paper that you can find in your stash (We have them, right? And we never expected to be asked to use those ugly papers!) and one of the stamps in your collection that has not yet seen ink, at least not by you. It's okay if it's a used stamp you purchased but have not yet used.

Ready? Set? Go!

Here's my card:

Even though it is a  5 1/2" square card, there's so much going on that you hardly see the "ugly" double-sided designer paper, so here it is in all its glory...

Of course, not only were we to use ugly designer paper, we were also to use stamps we'd never inked before. No problem. I have a lot of those (insert embarrassed face).

The little girl is Red Rubber Designs Amelia. The other stamped pieces are all from the October Afternoon All Girl stamp set.

Now, let's head over to Kelly's blog and Barb's blog to see what they made.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
