I love someone with Autism. Not just someone - someone amazing, someone with a joy in life, someone who makes my life better. My son Brock is Autistic.
Brock keeps me on my toes. He entertains with his antics. He loves well (not only people who are important to him, but also the ducks at the park). He expresses emotions (if you don't believe that watch out when he encounters one of his greatest fears: a dog). Brock loves to eat out (that doesn't say much about my cooking, does it?) He loves to do his chores - and go to work, where he enjoys spending time with Kelly, Tiffany, and others. Brock is a blessing!
So often people with Autism are thought to have little/no emotions and to be quite isolated, living lives that are dull and "colorless" (figuratively speaking.) That's not true. I think that's one of the reasons why I like the "puzzle" that is the symbol of autism. It reminds us that there are many aspects to individuals affected by Autism.
Denise, the owner/designer of The Project Bin stamps created one of my most treasured stamp sets - Spencer's Set. I am honored in this month of Autism Awareness to use this set proudly for Spencer. For Brock. THANK YOU, Denise!
BIG NEWS: The Project Bin has a special going on right now - place an order for $60 or more and you'll receive Spencer's Set free of charge. Of course, you can also purchase it. It normally sells for $10, but for the month of April, it's just $5. Let me encourage you to get it and use it this month since April is the month for Autism Awareness. Do it for Spencer and for Brock.
Love completes the puzzle.
Here's the inside of my card:
One of the things that's so nice about Spencer's Set is that the heart-shaped puzzle fits perfectly with the heart-shaped die in the In My Heart set.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
