I like trucks. Not just pickup trucks, or moving trucks, or delivery trucks. I'm talking BIG semi-trailer trucks. Now most people might not share my delight in them but that's okay. I still like trucks. Maybe one of the reasons I like the truck so much is it takes me back to my childhood. No, my dad was not a truck driver. My dad was a Minute Man for Boeing and one of the traits of the job was we moved every 3-6 months all over the western half of the United States. Suffice it to say, I was a passenger in a car - A LOT! And the scene in front of us was often the semi rigs that traveled the roads. Truckers were a great group in those days. On more than one occasion, we had truckers help us out in a bind. So I respected them and the work they did, even as a small child.
In honor of those memories,
I created this card:
Isn't that a cool truck?
It's part of the Raisin Boat Big Rig Party stamp set.
Such a fun set with so much potential!
I'm sure you'll see me using it again and again.
It doesn't show up well in the photo,
but I added some rhinestones to the round lights/reflectors
on the back of the truck.
I also added white and star brads to the night sky.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

What a great card--love the image and the story from your childhood!
What a fun set!!! Your delightful card reminds me of our last move. My husband was ahead of us driving a huge yellow moving truck (my grandkids and I in the car following) and we talked back and forth with walkie talkies. The girls loved calling him saying, "Come in, Rubber Ducky!" Fun memories!!
