I recently had the honor of being the Growing in Unity (GIU) gal for a week. It was AWESOME! As you know (if you're here at my blog much), I absolutely LOVE Unity stamps! I own more Unity stamps than any other company and use them quite often.
At the conclusion of the week as a GIU gal, not only do you get to randomly choose two winners from those who commented on your blog, you also get to choose a stamp set from Unity for yourself. What a FABULOUS gift from Unity.
I could hardly wait to ink it up, once it arrived. I was super excited to try something different.
THANK YOU, Unity! I love my new stamp set!!!
By the way, not only do I love the flower (which I used on today's card), but I'm also really liking the quote, too. I'm sure you'll see it on a card soon!
About the same time as I was getting ready to play with my new stamp set, I discovered a card on the STAMPlorations blog that really caught my eye. I was inspired to give it a try myself. You can see that card/tutorial HERE.
I love how the image stamped! I'm not surprised... after all, this is Unity quality! I do wish that I had chosen to heat emboss it though, I think it would have added a vibrancy to this card.
Because of the details on the flower stamp that I used, I chose not to color the white very boldly. I didn't want to cover up the beauty of that amazing stamp. That being said, I did like the bright white on the card Deepti made and will definitely try this technique again at some point, I'm sure.
And... I had so much fun with the Unity A Good Life set that I've decided I'm going to use it again soon. I've been wanting to try doing a 7 Cards from 1 Stamp Set Challenge for some time now. I saw someone on FB who had done that and thought it seemed like a great idea. After making this card, I decided this was just the stamp set to use for that challenge and I'll be working on it soon. So this is the teaser for my 7 cards... #1. Stay tuned for #2-7.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
