Hold Your Horses!

Today is a very special day. It is the 15th of the month, so if you're here to see my Dueling Darling post, keep scrolling (it's the next blog post) or go HERE. It is also the third Wednesday of the month so it is time for Kelly, Barb's and my Ready, Set, Go! adventure.

You might remember that the three of us take turns coming up with an "extreme theme" for Ready, Set, Go! This month's it's Kelly's turn and she chose an awesome theme for us.

Back in the day, our parents/grandparents probably said quite a few quirky things the younger generation would wonder what it means!  Some of the sayings are from an era long ago and days gone by, but perhaps catchy enough to stick with your family.  Your challenge this month is to think back on the good 'ol days and remember some of the sayings and create a card based on that.  BUT - to think of your OWN would be too easy!  Because we are RSG think-outside-the-box challengers, we are going to send 2 choices to one another backwards alphabetical order (opposite from last month) and you'll let your partner know what card to create based on ONE of the two choices sent!   So Barb sends 2 to Kelly,  Kelly sends 2 to Jeanette, and Jeanette sends 2 to Barb.    This month I'm sending you down memory lane - Ready, Set, GO!

As per Kelly's directions, she sent me two "good 'ol days" sayings.

*Oh, hold your horses! (my mom)   She could be an impatient woman and that was her famous line almost daily, LOL! Of course, now-a-days, not many kids have horses to hold ..... :)

*Did you just fall off the turnip truck?"  My dad would say that one but always laughing and in a loving joking way - and we'd laugh, knowing oops,   we didn't do it correctly.  He was patient and kind ♥

She also gave me a bit more help...

I hope either of these work for you!  If not, maybe we can do a "I'm telling Gramma!" and use a lifeline and ask for a 3rd :)

But that's okay, I didn't need the lifeline. I went with her mom's saying...

Oh, hold your horses!

Kelly, thank you for a fun theme!

Now, let's all head over to Kelly's blog and Barb's blog to see what they made.

And, as always...
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

  3. What a great card Jeanette. I am not sure which came first--your image and card or the saying as it is perfect!
