Follow In His Steps

I am part of the Bible Art Journaling (BAJ) group on SCS and each month the leader chooses a theme for us. This month it is suffering or suffers. There are so many verses a person could choose to journal with this theme. After looking at several, I decided to go with I Peter 2:21.

For God called you to do good, 

even if it means suffering, 

just as Christ suffered for you. 

He is your example, 

and you must follow in his steps. 

I wanted to use a footprint stamp, but didn't have anything in my stash that fit quite right. So instead I made the footprints by smearing acrylic paint on the side of my hand and pressing it onto the Bible page; then used my index finger to dab paint on for the toes. Obviously, my right hand did pretty well (the bottom footprint) and my left hand not so well (the top footprint). I guess that's not surprising considering I am right-handed.
