It's never too early to make Christmas cards. In fact, I love to make Christmas cards when it's 100 degrees outside and we're dealing with heat advisories, thunderstorms, and even an occasional tornado watch... because it takes my mind off of the things that I don't like about summer.

Phew, with that kind of summer weather I'd need something to take my mind off it too! I'm enjoying our heatwave here at the moment...unusual for us to get such a long uninterrupted spell of warm weather in the UK, but don't think I could cope with what you get!!
