I Love this Couple

This is my second post of the day. If you're here to see the friendly duel of the Dueling Darlings, you can either keep scrolling (it's the next post) or you can touch HERE to go directly to that post. Thanks!

I rarely - like almost never - do paper piecing. Why? It's not that I mind the fussy cutting. I actually find that kind of relaxing. (I know right? I must be the weirdest person on the planet.) The reason I rarely paper piece is because I can never seem to visualize which images do well with that... and then what papers to use to make it look good.

So, let me say... when I found out the International Art & Soul challenge theme this round is Paper Piecing, I was a bit intimidated. Still am. Not that I totally hate my card. It's okay; nothing too wrong with it. BUT... you should see what the other team members did with paper piecing. WOW! And you can see... just go to the International Art & Soul Challenge Blog and drool along with me.

I hope you'll participate!

  1. I love this image and have been trying to work out which bits were paper pieced but I have no idea - maybe the lady's dress? Hazel x

  6. Oh Jeanette, I find is hard to believe you struggled with this one, the outcome is perfect :) I love the way the ladies dress matches the background, everything looks so wonderfully finished off. Hope you will do some more paper piecing as I think it matches your style of card making perfectly :) :) :) xxxxx

  7. I'm with you - I struggle to see which stamps will work well for paper piecing, but you've definitely nailed it here. It's a fabulous card!
