Try Something New with Torn Edges

I'm always looking for something new to try in this craft I love... because I don't want to do the same old same old every time. Besides, this year has been "Try Something New on Tuesdays" and it is Tuesday again. Funny how Tuesday comes around every single week, isn't it.

Sooooo, I was on Facebook a few days ago (actually I'm there most days) and I saw something that intrigued me. A lady posted a picture of a card she'd made in the Unity {Show & Tell} group - you know how much I love Unity stamps! I liked her card so much that I decided to "borrow" her idea.

I've searched and searched for a blog - I don't think she has one. I did find her on Pinterest, but her card isn't on Pinterest, at least not that I can find. And the picture she posted on Facebook is not watermarked so I don't want to put it here for you to see. Sorry!

Her name is Katy Duffy Fowler - and I'm pretty sure she'll not see my blog post but I want to give a shout out to her for inspiring me. Her card featured a different stamp than I used... and different color scheme... and lots and lots of layers... etc. BUT the one thing I did borrow was her idea to tear the edges of her image. I don't think I've ever totally torn the image out... maybe one edge, but never all of it. But that's what drew my eye to her card and I decided to give it a try myself.

I kind of like it.

I even tore a wee bit inside my card:

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
