Critter Kits

This is my month! I love my month!!! I am in a card kit group on SCS. My friend Barb is the leader. There are 12 of us in the group and each month, one person is the recipient of kits. She gets to choose a theme/suggestions and of course there are some general requirements of what needs to go in the kits. We then have two months to make cards from the kits we receive.

This is the last month... and it is my month. YAY! I've been receiving kits and they are each drool-worthy!

This is the information I gave the others regarding my kits:

Each year I choose a word of the year - something I focus on throughout the year. In 2017, my word has been JOY. It has been a good choice as it has directed me to focus on those things that truly bring me JOY. In keeping with my word of the year, my card kit wish “list” is that you would put something/s in your kit that reflect what brings you JOY. Perhaps it is an image that depicts a favorite activity that you like participating in or is an image from your favorite stamp company. Perhaps it is your “go to” embellishments… you know, the ones that always bring you JOY when you add them to the cards you make. Perhaps it is the color scheme that you like or the sentiment that brings a smile to your face.

You get the idea, right. I want the kit you send me to be one that would bring you JOY if you were to receive it. I, in turn, will think of you as I create with your JOY-filled kit. Side note--this kit can be Christmas related or does not need to be. It is a kit about card making that brings you joy!

I also hope that you will slip a little note in the kit (or PM me) and let me know what it is in the kit that brings JOY to you.  Thank you for helping me have a JOYful year!

The first kit I received was from Barb. She told me that Whipper Snapper Design and Penny Black stamps bring her joy so she included images from those two companies in the birthday-themed kit she sent me. I used them both (WSD Purrfect Birthday on the front and PB Your Day inside).

Thank you for a GREAT birthday kit, Barb!

The second kit I received was from Kelly. She actually incorporated something that brings me great joy (Christmas) with something that brings her joy (her love for snow/winter/bright colors) in her kit. I really liked the polar bear images she sent (MFT Cool Day) and she had die-cut them for me, making this card fun to put together.

Thank you for a colorful and COOL kit, Kelly!

And just so you know, these are just the first two kits. I have 9 more to go.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
