I'm not one who does monochromatic... like... ever. But the International Art & Soul Challenge that begins today is Monochromatic, so I had to give it a try.
I decided to use a Unity stamp set (I love Unity) and a new-to-me technique on my card.
I first stamped the image on watercolor paper with a pigment ink. Then, after it was good and dry, I colored an outline around the image with a Zig marker (yellow - because that's the one color I'm using in addition to white on this monochromatic card). Then I took a water brush and started adding water and pulling the color away from the image.
At this point the image was still white (uncolored).
I then took a yellow colored pencil and just hit a few spots on the flowers. And I colored the flower centers with a Wink of Stella marker, which gives it a very subtle shimmer.
I hope you'll participate in the
International Art & Soul "Monochromatic" Challenge!
