From Trash to Treasure

I have waited and waited and waited for this day - and it is finally here! YAY! I am hosting - for the very first time ever - a Falliday Fest challenge on SCS and today is the day it is being introduced. It is the 27th challenge so if you've been keeping up, this is the 27th card you'll make, plus some of the tutorials along the way, too. You're getting quite a stash of cards, aren't you? And that means you'll be able to bring joy to someone through your card making. How awesome.

Oh, but if you've not been participating, it's not too late. Jump right in. Have some fun. You know you want to.

Falliday Challenge #27
From Trash to Treasure

I am challenging participants find some kind of item to recycle and use on your card. No, you don't have to go dumpster diving... just get your creativity going and you'll come up with something. It can be anything. A bread tie. A piece of cardboard from a cardboard box. The waxy paper that the crackers arrive in. A tea bag hang tag. Anything.

You can find my Trash to Treasure Falliday Fest thread HERE.

I have two cards to show you, just to get your thinking juices flowing. Plus, if you go to the Falliday thread on SCS, you can find even more ideas.

My first card:

Have you figured out what the recycled item is on this card?
It's the Coffee Bag from some coffee I brought back from the Dominican Republic this summer...

I die cut a circle (label) for the emblem on my cup and I also die cut some flowers to add to my card.

My Second Card:

Can you tell what the recycled item is on this card?
It's a promotional/advertising business card that came in the mail not too long ago...

To make this card extra fun/playful, I put the image on one of those wobble things so he can wiggle and jiggle and bring lots of smiles...

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Please find something to recycle and make a card for my Falliday Fest "Trash to Treasure" Challenge... and show me your stuff. It will make me so happy!
