I consider myself very fortunate to have creative, talented, fun, and faith-filled Kelly for a friend! She is an amazing mother, volunteer, and taxi driver. Well, she taxis her children - hours each day - without pay - but she's still providing taxi service, right?
She also is the dream-mom of a group on SCS called the Crafters of Faith. As a group we are challenged to a specific theme each month by one of the members and we're to show what we created based on that theme on the 7th of the month. So today is the day.
Sue was our hostess this month. She had an amazing theme for us.
This is what Sue said...
My favorite verse is:
"Before the mountains were born, before you gave birth to the earth and the world, from beginning to end, you are God." Psalm 90:2.
Whenever I feel like I can't make it through a tough time, I remind myself that whatever problem I'm facing is so teensy-tiny in the big scheme of things. God always was, He is, and He always will be...long before I was on this earth and long after I am gone. All I have to do is be still and let Him take care of things. Thoughts of His constancy comforts my soul, even in the most troubled times.
Comfort is the key word for May. Make a card of something that brings you comfort. It can be a bowl of chicken soup, a fuzzy pet, reading a good book or spending time with a special person.
Thanks for great theme, Sue!
For my project, I decided to Bible Journal.
When I thought about the word "Comfort" my mind quickly went to why a person needs comfort. Usually it is because of some sadness, tragedy, or trouble that they've encountered.
And comfort comes in many forms. It might be a carefully worded prayer on their behalf by a dear friend. It might be a hug from a co-worker. It might be solitude with God - in the prayer closet, beseeching Him to bring comfort in those moments.
I also reflected on which Bible characters needed comfort, as I searched for where I would do my Bible Journaling. It didn't take me long to think of Job. He encountered more problems than I can count. He suffered. He struggled. But in the last chapter of the book of Job, we see that he cried out to God, recognizing His power, and the Lord blessed Job.
That is comfort! And looking at the stories in the Bible (Job and others) comforts me, too.
I only highlighted one verse, but the entire chapter is amazing.
"I know that you can do anything,
and no one can stop you."
(the words of Job to God in Job 42:1)

Wow, your Bible journaling is awesome. The Bible is certainly the most comforting words that fit any and every situation in which we find ourselves. I am so glad these ancient words have been written and passed down through all the generations as the best instructions we have in this journey of life. What a gorgeous way you have conveyed that message in your lovely creative style.
