It's Tuesday - time to try something new. Today's card features something I just recently learned about - Copic coloring on vellum. I actually saw a video with this technique a few days ago - but like usual, I can't remember who to give credit to. I'm sorry! I'm going to have to start paying more attention to those sorts of things.
It's really a pretty fun technique. First I stamped the image on vellum with Versamark ink and then heat embossed opaque white embossing powder on it. When it cooled (only a mere matter of seconds), I turned it over and colored on the back side with Copics. I did discover it needed to be brighter colors to show through, but that's probably because the image I chose had a lot of ink on it. A more subtle image would have probably been better.
I added strips of washi tape, partly because I like the look... but also because I needed some way to attach the vellum to the card. The blue that you see is coloring... the vellum was not colors.

Vellum! Oh my....the vellum I have is probably so old it would crack! LOL It is fun to work with though. You did a great job working with it. I like how it makes the illustration lines pop out.

this is gorgeous Jeanette - I don't have copics so won't be trying this particular technique, but i do love it when I see it done by others.
