Bible Journaling Day 4
This post is a "two-fer" - two for the price of one. ;)
It is my Bible Journaling for 4th day of my 21-Day Bible Journaling Challenge AND... it's my post for the Crafters of Faith Group on SCS.
Each month (on the 7th) the Crafters of Faith are supposed to show a card/project based on the theme one of the members has chosen. This month was my turn to choose the theme. This is the theme I gave the group...
As you may know, my word of the year for 2017 is Joy.
Joy is not based on circumstances, but rather comes from within. No matter what is happening in our lives we can have Joy because of our love for the Lord and our hope in Him.
Joy is also one of the fruits of the Spirit…
Galatians 5:22-23 (ESV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
For April, I’d like for us to create a card/project that reflects Joy. Ideas? It could be something that brings you Joy, like a beach scene or a cabin in the mountain, etc. Or it could be a certain technique or stamping product that brings Joy every time you use it. Or it could be a reflection of a Bible verse that means a lot to you, filling you with Joy. Those are just a few ideas… truthfully, the options are vast for this theme.
Whatever direction you go with this, I am certain that your contribution will bring JOY to all of us.
I actually really REALLY like this Bible Journaling page - because it's about my son Brock, who is such a joy!!!
Funny thing is - I saw The Project Bin's new stamp set "Spencer's Set" just days ago (thank you, Kelly!) and I knew immediately that I had to have it so I ordered it right away. And it arrived yesterday - YESTERDAY! - so I knew I needed to use it to make my Bible Journaling project for the COF group.
When the red piece is lifted up (like a backwards card) this is what is inside. Words from a momma's heart...
Until Brock was 2-years-old, he developed normally. Then he began to lose language skills and his behaviors began to make subtle changes. After many doctor visits and some intensive testing, we were told Brock is autistic.
For some, this diagnosis might have made them think God had made a mistake, but He didn't. Psalm 139 reminds me that God knew Brock before he was even "a twinkle in his father's eye" and He says Brock is His marvelous workmanship. God loves Brock... and I do, too!
Lord, thank You for the joy Brock brings to my life... and for allowing me to be his mother.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

I love this awesome page for Brock! I don't know if you are a country western music fan but this fabulous page brings to mind Florida Georgia Line's God, Your Momma, and Me which speaks of amazing and unconditional love.
