A couple of months ago we received a beautiful (store-bought) card from a dear friend - THANK YOU, Sharon & Glen! I set it on the shelf and admired it for quite some time. Then I got an idea to re-purpose it while making a card. My main regret is that I didn't take a picture of the original card. UGH!
Here's the card I made using it though...
The angled piece with the butterfly on it is the card front from the card we received. I added the sparkly butterfly on top of it (it's an embellishment from Gartner Studios Brides called "White & Silver Butterflies") and I stamped a sentiment there, too. A few rhinestones and an embossed butterfly on the underlying piece and the card was nearly finished. It was so easy... and I like how it turned out.
Here's the inside:
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Main Butterfly Piece: from a re-purposed greeting card
Sentiment & Embossed Butterflies: MFT Blissful Butterflies
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Versamark for the embossing (I used Clear Embossing Powder)
Cardstock: Recollections Black and Stampin' UP! Pale Plum and Perfect Plum
Embellishments: Gartner Studios Brides "White & Silver Butterflies" and Michael's Rhinestones
Absolutely gorgeous!
