Happy Mother's Day

Today is the day we honor mothers. It's a special day indeed.

This is my beautiful Mama:

I love you Mama!

She is an amazing woman. In this picture, she was actually temporarily living in a rehab center. She'd broken her ankle and was there for a few weeks while she got therapy. She's now doing great. In fact, she's doing so well that she's planting/tending her garden and keeping my Daddy busy, too.

I am looking forward to seeing the two of them, plus my sister, who lives a block away from them, this week. I'll make the 8 hour drive (a state away) to spend a few days there.

I tried my hand at watercoloring to make a Mother's Day card. I discovered that Memento Ink bleeds when watercoloring (hmmmmmm... need to research what kind of ink to use), but it was fun attempting this popular medium.

My Mother's Day has been pretty special, too. My oldest son sent me a HILARIOUS card (I love his sense of humor!), my husband and other son will take me out for dinner today, and my daughter (who lives in the bush of Alaska) had flowers delivered to me...

I love you Jeremy, Brittney, and Brock!
I am truly blessed to call these three my children!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today... I hope you will have a wonderful Mother's Day!

I'm sure it will be wonderful.

  2. What a wonderful woman your mother looks Jeanette - you are blessed to have with you still. My son gave me a rather humourous card too - that I also appreciated. Love your card, despite the ink bleed.
    Blessings

  4. Glad you had a wonderful mother's day! And thanks for sharing about your mother, too. Lovely flowers, by the way. I was told Memento would hold up to water...Staz-On black will do the job.
