It's Friday... TGIF! And time for a Peek at My Week.
The weather has been gorgeous this week. For many of you that means activities that take you outdoors - walks in the park, weeding the flower beds, planting vegetables, mowing the grass, that sort of thing. For me it means ICE CREAM!!!
Yes, we went to our favorite little ice cream shack this week. It's a 20-25 minute drive and the ice cream is delicious!
Okay, enough about that. I'm gaining weight just thinking about it.
I also was able to begin the process of unpacking, sorting, purging, and organizing in the garage. That's making me pretty happy... since it hasn't been touched since we moved in late November. I'm not anywhere near finished, but I'm much further along in the process than I was a week ago.
Wednesday I took the day off to go to town... I went to card class (we made 2 punch art cards), got a haircut, did some shopping, and thoroughly enjoyed the day. A girl just needs a day to call her own once in a while, don't you think?
Card count for this week wasn't nearly as large as last week, but I did manage to make 8 cards this week. One of them was super SUPER easy... so easy, in fact, that it probably shouldn't even count. LOL!
Last Saturday's card (you can see it HERE) had some really pretty subtle DP on it. It was actually part of the Paper Studio Cheekee Monkey Paper Pad. Well............ that pad also had the fun monkey paper that you see on this card. When I looked at that piece of paper I thought... sure! That could be used to make a card. So I did it. Stamp a sentiment. Add a rhinestone for some sparkle on the teeth. Voila. Card finished.
Here it is:

What an adorable card, Jeanette! He's so cheeky!! Love the paper, too!
How adorable- and this is a DP card already to go too! How cool is that! Love the cute monkey and the rhinestone on his tooth. Love your week post too- lots of joy in your days!
Sounds a great week Jeanette - and i love that card - every now and again you need a card like that, minimal effort of maximum impact.
Blessings
Maxine
p.s. = I don't need good weather to eat ice cream - and it shows :-(
I cannot stop smiling at that monkey and his blinged out tooth! Super fun card, Jeanette!
Very cute and fun card. I think we all like the DP that we buy - so much we sometimes hoard it - and I like it featured on a card. It looks good!
Definitely a thumbs up. I could sure go for a day all to myself...for now I'll live vicariously through you. Your card is just so cute. I love it when the DP does a lot of the work for you!
