Something BIG just happened!

You may or may not be aware of the fact that an incredible thing happened in the stamping world this past Saturday - July 25th! In case you missed hearing about it, let me tell you what happened.

JessicaLynnOriginal launched three BRAND NEW stamps - Jasmine Becket-Griffith stamps!

Who is Jasmine Becket-Griffith? I'm glad you asked! ;)

Jasmine Becket-Griffith is a world-renowned fantasy artist. Born in 1979, she has spent the last decade (all of her adult life) working as a fine artist, painting traditionally by hand with acrylic paints. Her artwork can be found in private collections and public displays throughout the world. You may recognize her paintings from her merchandising and licensing lines with Disney, Hot Topic, Target, Spencer's, the Hamilton Collection and the Bradford Exchange. Her artwork is also found in many books such as the Spectrum fine art collections, Gothic Art Now, The World of Faery, Big Eye Art, and more! Jasmine's paintings blend realism with wide-eyed wonder - exploring gothic themes, with elements of classical literature, fairytales, nature and fantasy. Jasmine lives in Celebration, Florida with her husband/assistant Matt and their cats. You can check out her website by clicking HERE.

The JessicaLynnOriginal Jasmine Becket-Griffith stamps are such fun! You'll want to check them out in the JessicaLynnOriginal store. You also will want to go to the JessicaLynnOriginal facebook page and blog because there is always somehing going on there - samples to see, challenges to enter, prizes to win, etc.

Jessica gave me one of the Jasmine Becket-Griffith stamps to use (it's GREAT being on her DT!) for this launch. I've made a couple of cards with it already. I'll show one here on my blog today and the other one later this week... so keep coming back, okay?

Are you ready for a new challenge? It's going to be a lot of fun...

Theme: Boys & Their Toys

July 25 - 31

Sponsor: Funky Kits

I decided to use a Riley & Co. stamp that hasn't seen ink in quite a while to make my card...

I actually used quite a few embellishments on this card, which isn't something I normally do on a masculine card. But I think it works.

This cute little puppy is...

Kelly sent the image (Elzybells "Doghouse") to the members of the Mystery Image Card Swap and we all made cards with it. It really is a fun idea - we get to see how others create with the same image. And this round was especially fun because this image is just adorable! THANK YOU, Kelly!

The House that Jeanette Built

http://www.pinspirationalchallenges.blogspot.com/

It's time for a new challenge at {PIN}Spirational Challenges... and I decided to "think outside the box" of my normal style.

Let me explain.

First - here is the photo that is to be the inspiration for this challenge:

And Fresh Brewed Designs is the sponsor... I love Heather and Fresh Brewed Designs! You might recall I used to be on her design team - years ago. So it was great fun to choose an image from her vast assortment of images.

http://www.freshbreweddesigns.com/

I found a really cute little sunshine/clouds image in the Fresh Brewed Designs store (it's called Peek a Boo Sun) and an idea came to me. Instead of thinking gingerbread house and Christmas... or even using the colors in the photo... I decided to build a house.

That sun and clouds image sure makes me smile!
THANK YOU, Heather for being such a generous sponsor!!!

To make the background of my card, first I printed the image onto two pieces of white cardstock. One of them I cut to size and the other one I cut out the image to use as a mask. (Of course, I didn't need to cut out the rays nor the little heart, I just inked right over those.)

I placed the image over the design on the cardstock and then inked it with three different colors of Stampin' UP! ink using sponges - Baja Breeze, Bashful Blue, and Brocade Blue.

After removing the masking, I had a beautiful blue sky. I then used my Copics to color the bright yellow sun and the adorable little red heart.

I finished up my card by using a combination of punches and cardstock to build my house and the grassy yard. I added some felt flowers for embellishment and a piece of ribbon - I thought it kind of looked like the sidewalk in front of the house.

I even used the masking/sponging technique for a little pop of fun inside the card:

I had so much fun making this card! (Can you tell?)

I hope you'll participate in the {PIN}Spirational Challenge. You might even be the winner of the incredible prize that Fresh Brewed Designs is giving to a lucky participant.

JLO Launch Party

Today is such an exciting day!!! It is the day that we get to launch a new JessicaLynnOriginal stamp set called "Working Dogs". The rest of the design team has been super busy creating with this fun set, so please take the time to check out their blogs, too. You'll find the links in my right sidebar. (Also, I plan to play with this set some more next week, so you'll be seeing some more of this fabulous set on my blog soon.)

*gasp! Did you notice that I didn't use any designer paper? That's because I thought the incredible dog stamped image needed to be the bold statement on this card. Isn't he gorgeous? And I love that sentiment and little paw print, too.

I also didn't do much of anything on the inside of my card
(another *gasp!):

Be sure to check out the JessicaLynnOriginal store to find this stamp set and MANY MORE!

It's a 3M Day...

... "What is a 3M day?" you ask. It's the day the Three Musketeers post their monthly creations, of course.

That being said, I'm late... my card was made and ready, but I ran out of time to give it its photo opp and put my blog post together. Whew! I am barely getting it posted on the 9th.

Kelly was the hostess this month. She sent Barb and I (and herself, too) an adorable image - Elzybell Garden Kitty - and a sweet sentiment to use. THANK YOU, Kelly!

Here's the card I made:

Puppy Love

http://www.pinspirationalchallenges.blogspot.com/

I love {PIN}Spirational Challenges because they can be interpreted so many ways. If you haven't checked them out, you really should. The way it works if there is a photo that is the inspiration for the challenge. You can choose an image that reminds you of the photo, or you can choose the colors in the photo, or focus on a minute detail in the photo and use it for the basis of your card. Oh so many options.

Today is the beginning of a new {PIN}Spirational Challenge and this is the photo...

Isn't that a cute picture. That darling little girl is having quite the tea party.

For my card (which needed to be super fast to make because we have company and I wanted to visit instead of working on a card), I chose a delightful pre-colored Bugaboo digi image of a cute cute CUTE puppy! THANK YOU Bugaboo for donating this image for the Design Team's use on this challenge!

Here's the inside of my card:

Please head over to the {PIN}Spirational Challenge blog and participate in the challenge! You might even win a prize from one of the sponsors:
