All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
I heard that quote as a child and it stuck with me. Of course, anyone who knows me knows that I like to play, so I do not have a problem with "dullness." LOL!
Speaking of playing, my favorite thing to play paper, ink, stamps, etc. And I have a lot of (online) friends who like the same things I do. One such group of friends are known as the Mystery Image 2015 group. It is hosted by Imke. The way it works is each month one of the ladies sends an image to all of the ladies and we create a card using that image and any instructions the hostess has given us. Then we have a designated person to whom we mail the card. It's such fun!
Imke was the January hostess and she sent us a great image/sentiment from the Art Impressions "Yoga Jolanda" stamp set. Her instructions were to use paper piecing in our design.
Here's the card I made:
Here's the inside:
The scraps of designer paper are the bits of pieces left from the piece that Imke stamped for us to use on our paper piecing. There wasn't much paper left, but I wanted to include a little bit on my card anyway.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
The only thing of my own that I used on this card was cardstock (Recollections Black and Stampin' UP! Pink Passion) and Buttons from Buttons Galore.
I colored the image using Copic Markers and a Zig Wink of Stella Marker.
