It’s Friday, so it’s time for…
A PEEK AT MY WEEK
Something I loved
about this week…
CHRISTMAS!!!
Something I learned
this week…
My daughter taught me how to use Siri on my iPhone! We had
so much fun goofing around with it. Here’s just a sampling of our conversations
with Siri…
Us: What does the fox say?
Siri: Chacha-chacha-chacha-chow!
Us: You’re pretty!
Siri: Oh, stop.
Us: How old are you?
Siri: I don’t see why that should matter.
Since I’ve been 17-years-old for quite some time now, I
really like Siri’s age answer.
Somewhere I went this
week…
I’m not sure I went anywhere other than to the store (needed
a few groceries) and out to eat a time or two. But that’s okay, because home
was a great place to be! My kids were all home!
Something I created
this week…
I created a new “feature on my blog this week. If you’ll
look at the “pages” at the top of my blog, right under the name, you’ll notice
one that says Keep Learning in 2015. I sometimes feel like all my cards begin
to look so similar – I color images, I layer with black, I get in a rut!
In an attempt to be more creative, I’m going to try to learn
new things this year… try new techniques… think outside the box. As I find
ideas (or as my blogging friends give me ideas), I’ll list them in “Keep
Learning in 2015” page and then when I have a few moments to play, I’ll try
something new.
Something I’m going
to do this weekend…
Alas, after having her home for nearly two weeks, it is time
to take our daughter to the airport so she can fly back to her home in the bush
of Alaska.
(Safe travels, Brittney!) I will not promise it will be a tearless farewell.
Something I want to
accomplish next week…
It’s time to take down the Christmas decorations at our
house. Oh, I know. Some years I leave them up another week or so….. but next
week I’ll be going on my first of three back-to-back trips, so the trees must
come down.
Did I take the
30-Minute Challenge this week?
What
is a 30-Minute Challenge? Basically, I choose something to do – perhaps it’s an
organization task that is calling out to me, or a topic I want to research, or
(*gasp!) an exercise I want to try, etc. – and I set the timer and invest 30
minutes in that challenge.
Yes, I did! The shelves in the kitchen were getting
cluttered and unsightly…. So I spent 30 minutes and sorted/purged/organized the
things on them. Whew! It looks so much better now!
SCORE TIME: Would I give
this week a “thumbs up” or a “thumbs down”?
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I appreciate you so
much!
Sounds as though you and Brittany had great fun together - I hope you have recovered from her departure... Love your idea of learning new techniques this year.
