I've been part of a group of ladies known as the Carriers of Faith for quite some time now. And before we were the Carriers of Faith, we were the Crafters of Faith. This group was created by Kelly for those paper-crafters whose faith is important to them.
Once a month, one of the CoF is the hostess and chooses a scripture and a theme for us to use in creating a card/project. This month is our last month ever.
Shelly is our hostess and here is her theme:
We had a priest come to a prayer group one evening, and he said in confessions the number one comment people make is how they struggle with Forgiveness. I am one who struggles with that as well, so I choose that as my topic for October and our final month together.
"Therefore I tell you, all you ask for in prayer , believe that you will receive it and it shall be yours. When you stand to pray, forgive anyone against whom you have a grievance, so that your heavenly Father may in turn forgive your transgressions." Mark 11:24-25
So make a card- tell someone you have trouble forgiving that you love them and send it off in the mail to them!
Now, before you look at my card, I must say, I didn't exactly follow the directions. I'm sorry! Can you FORGIVE me???
First, I didn't have any "forgive me" types of stamps/images. Then, as I thought about the challenge, the thing that kept coming to my mind is the forgiveness of Jesus. He has forgiven me! And I am in no way worthy of His forgiveness. But He loves me that much.
He not only forgave me; He also set the example for how I am to forgive others.
So I just HAD to make Jesus the focus of my card.
Here's the inside:
