Today is the day that the Calender Girls blog group has their monthly challenge. Terry is Miss September and she gave us these instructions
I have recently (within 2 weeks time) had 3 friends lose parents. Very sad situations for all of them
With that and the anniversary of 9011 coming up I would like you all to create a Sympathy card.
Unfortunately, we will all need them at some point. it's a sad thought, but reality.
As an added challenge, I would like you all to share a memory of someone you lost and what that person did to change your life.
Terry, you're right; we do need Sympathy cards from time to time. Thank you for giving us this theme.
Here is my card:
This is the inside:
It has been many years ago now, but I lost all three of my grandparents in less than a year's time (my dad's mom actually died before my parents even met, so I only had three living grandparents). It was a very difficult time for me. I still have days that I miss them tremendously. Each of them taught me so much!
Now please check out the other Calendar Girl blogs to see what they've made. You'll find the links in my left sidebar.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today!

Love this Jeanette - the lovely soft colour palette and that wonderful sentiment. Yes grandparents are essential, and to loose them all within 12 months must have been devastating.
Blessings

I really like the different hues of green on your card. The two papers look great together. I am glad that yo have such fond memories of your grandparents.
