It’s Friday. TGIF!!! But it has been a very l-o-n-g time since I
did a “Peek at My Week” type of blog post. I think it’s time to re-instate
them, don’t you?
A PEEK AT MY WEEK
1.
What was a
highlight of my week?
I had my very first taste of a S’mores Funnel Cake! YUM!!!
Much too rich – I’m glad I had others to share it with. But it was delicious!
2.
What
lesson/s did I learn this week?
There are NOT enough hours in a day – even when a person
only spends 4 hours a night sleeping. ‘Nuf said.
3.
What did I
make this week?
I hadn’t made any cards last week so this week I had a lot
of them to make! It was fun playing with ink and paper.
Here are a couple of cards that I made with a kit provided
by Krista (one of the Baker’s Dozen Monthly Card Kit members):
4.
What have I
enjoyed doing this week?
I saw the HUGE Super Moon (some call it a Harvest Moon) this
week. I first noticed it when I was driving home from my parents on Monday – in
the daylight! I was so mesmerized by it that I had to go outside and see it
after the sun had gone down. WOW! Gorgeous!
5.
If I could
change one thing about this week, what would it be?
I would have gotten a bit more sleep. Yikes! I’ve had a
difficult time staying asleep this week. I go to sleep very quickly when I
first get to bed, but no matter what time I wake up, I can’t seem to go back to
sleep.
6.
What did I
do for this week’s 30-Minute Challenge?
What
is a 30-Minute Challenge? It will vary from week to week, but basically, I am
going to choose something to do – perhaps it’s an organization task that is
calling out to me, or a topic I want to research, or (*gasp!) an exercise I
want to try, etc. – and I will set the timer and invest 30 minutes in that
challenge.
The garden is winding down, which means less excess produce
in our kitchen. So I took down the extra table we set up in the corner for the
garden produce. Ahhhh…. my kitchen isn’t so scrunched up now.
7.
What are my
plans for the upcoming weekend?
This is our small town’s Fall Fun Fest Weekend, so I’m going
to listen to some local talent (or fairly local talent) perform, am going to
eat a few goodies from the vendors, and try to find a few people I know to chat
with.
SCORE TIME: Would I give
this week a “thumbs up” or a “thumbs down”?
My goals for the
coming week…
1. I
am traveling out-of-state this week to spend a few days with a favorite aunt.
2. I
want to find a Kentucky Starbuck’s mug to add to my collection. Wish me luck!
3. I
have a bookshelf that I just moved to a new location in our house and I need to
organize the things that go on it. (Maybe that should be my 30-minute challenge
next week.)
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I appreciate you so
much!
`Lovely catch up Jeanette - that cake looks amazing!! We are heading into spring here and the garden is getting going - Celery, Broccoli, beetroot and a few lettuce under way at the moment.
