April 27 - May 3
Theme: Anything Goes
Sponsor: Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet
I had the opportunity to use the most wonderfully realistic looking image - Squirrel - and soon discovered that I don't know how to color a squirrel. Dear me! I really did NOT do this image justice.
Here's my card:
Here's the inside of my card:

Cardstock: Recollections Kraft and Stampin' UP! Early Espresso
Embellishments: Eyelet Outlet Brad and Ribbon from an unknown vendor
Oh, Jeanette, I had bother with this image too. I couldn't see his back foot and made a right mess of it. I started colouring a red squirrel and then gave up and made him grey. You're made a good job of him and your card looks good. Hazel x
ReplyDeleteOh, he looks marvellous as a red squirrel, Jeanette! Love the design - so simple and elegant - it really showcases the lovely image.
ReplyDeleteNice card :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning card! I had to laugh at your post title...I've had similar experiences! Animals can be a lot more difficult to color than we think! I think it came out very nicely. Have a great week! Best, CG
ReplyDeleteWOW Jeanette, what a fabulous end result :) I just love how you have coloured the squirrel, totally amazing and you more than did the digi justice. Thank you so much hun for creating such a beautiful piece of artwork with my Coosty pack. Hugs Jane xxxx
ReplyDeleteI probably can't think of anything harder to color! Kinda like that real baby rabbit I had on my blog at Easter. Very hard to do, but have to tell you Jeanette - you nailed it! Great coloring on the little guy and I love your card too-inside and out.

Wow, Jeannette, that is a realistic squirrel, the best I have ever seen. I think you colored him great! Such fun card!
ReplyDeleteWonderful spring card with that squirrel Jeanette.....he looks to be bounding from another branch, love the simple design!

Oh Jeanette, I love your CAS creation. It's quite stunning and I do love the wee little squirrel at the bottom of the card inside too. Great touch.

ReplyDeleteYour little guy looks great. :D You did a fantastic job with your coloring. :D I also like how you framed him, and the little squirrel on the inside too. And the ribbon is very pretty.
