It’s Friday again…time for another Peek at My Week post.
A PEEK AT MY WEEK
1.
What was a
highlight of my week?
I went out to run errands on Thursday – WITHOUT a coat! Woo
Hoo! Spring is here!
2.
What
lesson/s did I learn this week?
I learned how to be involved in a conference call. I’ve
never done one before and had no clue how to go about it. Welcome to the 21st
century, Jeanette. (tee hee!)
3.
What did I
make this week?
I made a lot of progress on my lesson plans for my Thailand trip
that will take place in June. We’ll be teaching Bible School
to American children while their parents are in meetings.
4.
What have I
enjoyed doing this week?
My big news that I told you about a couple of weeks ago but
couldn’t say what it was…. well, this week I got to tell. How fun! Did you hear
me shouting it from the roof tops? My daughter has accepted a teaching job in
the bush of Alaska
for the fall of this year. It has been a dream of hers to do this………… and I’m
so excited that her dreams are coming true!
5.
If I could
change one thing about this week, what would it be?
I would have slept more. Seems the nights have been way too
short this week.
6.
What did I
do for this week’s 30-Minute Challenge?
What
is a 30-Minute Challenge? It will vary from week to week, but basically, I am
going to choose something to do – perhaps it’s an organization task that is
calling out to me, or a topic I want to research, or (*gasp!) an exercise I
want to try, etc. – and I will set the timer and invest 30 minutes in that
challenge.
I want an Alaska
bracelet or necklace to wear to remind me to pray for my daughter as she
prepares for the transition in her job – plus, when people saw it they would
ask about it and I’d have reason to share my news. So, I spent 30 minutes one
afternoon searching online for the item I want to purchase. I didn’t find it by
the time the 30 minutes was up… but I’ll try again.
7.
What are my
plans for the upcoming weekend?
I’m one of the guest speakers at a Women’s Conference on
Saturday. That will be an exciting part of my weekend.
SCORE TIME: Would I give
this week a “thumbs up” or a “thumbs down”?
My goals for the
coming week…
1. I
will work on Thailand
lessons… I hope to have the third and fourth days of lesson plans mostly ready
by the end of the week.
2. I
didn’t make it to card class last week (insert sad face) so plan to go this
week! I also want to look for some things for my Thailand lessons while I’m in the
small city where the card class is held, so I have two reasons to go.
3. I
will work on the publicity for the Annual Women’s Meeting in our state that is
coming up in May. That means lots and lots of phone calls to make.
I also have a card to show you today. I am in the Unidentified Image Card Swap on SCS, which means the hostess chooses the image and we all create cards with the images she sends us. Darlene is the current hostess and she sent us such fun images to use.
THANK YOU, Darlene!
Here's the card I made:

ReplyDeleteConference calls...oh my goodness...I like how you welcomed yourself to the century!!! Wow, I have been on some doozies, they were the story of my life for awhile - Like the one with all of the national people in my position and a lady was not on mute and asked her child if she had to go p** p**! That's a CLM {career limiting move} for sure! You could have heard a pin drop!!!
Cute card! I really like the paper. Sounds like you had a very good week despite not getting enough sleep. Congratulations to your daughter on her new job!
