A Peek at My Week

It’s Friday again…time for another Peek at My Week post.

A PEEK AT MY WEEK

1.      What was a highlight of my week?

My husband’s birthday was Wednesday, but we didn’t see much of each other that day, as he had to go out of state for the funeral of a church member’s nephew. He brought each of us home something from Chipotle and after church we heated the yumminess in the microwave and sat and chatted over dinner. It was almost like having a romantic candlelight dinner.

2.      What lesson/s did I learn this week?

When it rains, it pours! (LOL!) We had a lot of rain this week.

3.      What did I make this week?

I made a cake. I very VERY rarely do that (I try to avoid sweets), but it was the last Monday luncheon at our church for this year (we do them in the winter months), and I wanted to make something special to take.

4.      What have I enjoyed doing this week?

I enjoyed looking for things that I need for my work with the children in Thailand. I made a few online purchases, too.

5.      If I could change one thing about this week, what would it be?

The main pipe under our kitchen sink rusted through and made a horrible mess, as you can imagine. I wish that hadn’t happened. Now we’re waiting for the plumber to come and fix it.

6.      What did I do for this week’s 30-Minute Challenge?
What is a 30-Minute Challenge? It will vary from week to week, but basically, I am going to choose something to do – perhaps it’s an organization task that is calling out to me, or a topic I want to research, or (*gasp!) an exercise I want to try, etc. – and I will set the timer and invest 30 minutes in that challenge.

One of my children has some pretty big life changes coming up, so I spent 30 minutes one day doing some research so I could be more informed as we chat. (Okay, confession time: I intended to spend 30 minutes doing this… but I am sure I went overtime.)

7.      What are my plans for the upcoming weekend?

Study! Study! Study!!! (I have lesson plans to get ready for my trip to Thailand and I am the guest speaker at a Women’s Conference next weekend. So I have lots of “lessons” to work on.)

SCORE TIME: Would I give this week a “thumbs up” or a “thumbs down”?

My goals for the coming week…

1.      I will work on Thailand lessons… I hope to have the first two days of lesson plans mostly ready by the end of the week.

2.      I will mail two sets of swaps so they won’t be late.

3.      I will go to Card Class!!! (I’ve intended to go the past two weeks, but had to change my plans both times.)

Because I’m doing the 100 Cards in 100 Days Challenge, I also have a card to post to my blog today. This is #102 (Day 94).

I really like the way the inside turned out:

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I’d love to hear what’s been happening in your life this week, too, so feel free to leave me a comment and tell me about it.
