Bareback Race

It's Whatever Wednesday - and I decided to make another card using a stamp from the Stampin' UP! Bareback stamp set that my friend Lorie gave me.

I stamped the image once and then gave it a shadow effect by stamping the same stamp again with out re-inking it. I like the way that looks on this particular image because it gives it the appearance that the horses are racing.

The cording I used is actually a "treasure" that I found on one of my hunts at a thrift store.

There's  no manufacturer information on it and I'm not sure what its original purpose was but it is tested for 100 pound weight, so it's pretty strong.

This is the inside of my card:

This is my 71st card in the 100 Cards in 100 Days Challenge (and this is the 64th day of 2014).

  1. If the cording is plastic it could be what I used when I was teen to cover wire hangers at the youth center! Hobby Lobby carries this plastic lacing http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/white-s-getti-string-plastic-lacing-spool-565556/

Very nice card. I want to try this stamping technique.
