I did some thinking - I know! That's dangerous! Right?

Well, I like things organized and tidy - and that includes my blogging. So, I've decided to do something with Thursdays on my blog (it's one day that I don't usually have any commitments like design team posts, etc.)

Thematically Thursday

What am I talking about? Thursday posts on my blog will fit a theme.

Each week of the month is a different theme:

WEEK 1 - Treasure Hunt Post

WEEK 2 - Try and/or Use Something New

WEEK 3 - Challenge Me (Participate in one or more challenge/s)

WEEK 4 - CASE Closed (CASE someone else's project)

WEEK 5 - Organize It (Show an organizational project/tip)

The exception to this will be on those rare occasions when I have a specific post I have to make on that Thursday - like a blog group commitment.


This is the second Thursday of February, so I tried a new technique. I've been seeing a few cards in the SCS gallery and on blogs where people had used masking tape for an unusual inking pattern. I wanted to give it a try, so I did.

To create the "sand" on the white cardstock behind the image, I used three different colors of AMuse Studio ink. I started with the medium color (Nutmeg) first. Using the sticky side of a strip of masking tape, I picked up the ink and transferred four lines of it onto the cardstock. Then I did the same with the lightest color (Latte) of ink, covering the same four lines. I wanted a bit more texture, so I took a darker ink (French Roast) and picked up just a little bit of it onto a strip of masking tape and added it to my "sand".
