My week has been busy, but it seems to be pretty redundant,
too. Christmas, Christmas, CHRISTMAS! That’s the theme you’ll see as you look
at my life…
THIS WEEK
- I organized… some items that needed to be boxed up and donated. It felt good to get the excess out of the house.
- I cooked… soup! I love making soup! But more important than what I did cook, was what I didn’t cook. I didn’t cook a single thing for Thanksgiving. We went out to eat instead.
- I bought… myself an ipad mini! Yep, I went out on Thanksgiving Day for the pre-Black Friday sell… and bought myself a new toy! I’m super excited!
- I’m enjoying… Christmas music! I’ve been playing it on Pandora. Such fun!
- I made… Tim Horton Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins to share with others – and to enjoy, too.
- I procrastinated… doing the laundry, which meant I had 2 weeks worth to do. YIKES! That was a big mountain to climb!
- I learned… about an incredible ministry to young moms (mostly singles) that a church in the St. Louis area has. I wrote an article about it for our statewide newsletter, so I had an opportunity to interview the leaders of 31 Young Reasons. WOW!
- This weekend I’m… decorating our home for Christmas! I started the process on Friday.
- I’m working on… lots and lots of Christmas projects – decorating, making gifts, even a card or two. Love the holiday season!
- I’m blessed… with wonderful children! I spoke to both my daughter and my son several times this week. They make me smile! Even though we live far apart now that they are grown and on their own, we still speak to each other often. And in less than a month they will be home for Christmas!
My 30-Minute
Challenge… It was a gorgeous day on Friday – temperatures in the 50’s and
sunny. It was getting close to dark, so I knew I’d have to hurry, but I was
afraid if I waited until Saturday, it would be cooler (it wasn’t)… so I
gave myself 30 minutes to get the front
porch decorated for Christmas. It sure is festive!
My goals for the
coming week…
- Get all of the Christmas trees up. (I’ve scaled down – a lot! – this year, so that shouldn’t be too difficult to accomplish).
- Make and mail a set of swap cards that need to get out this week.
- I’m “hosting” Sunday Nights Are Sweet – a homemade sweet treat given at the door as people leave church each night in December. So one of my goals for this week is to try a new sweet recipe for next Sunday’s sweet treat.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

I just love these posts. They inspire me! If you ever run out of organizing, you can come & help me. Lots to sort through and box up here, LOL
Blessings to you and yours!
I am feeling inspired- esp the part about giving yourself a certain amt of time to complete a task (front porch)....I love that to stay focused!
Oh busy Girl, great job this week!
Well done Jeanette - you have had a productive week and lots of goals for the coming week.

I love these little glimpses into your days...I keep meaning to do a journal with a format like this and I can never seem to make time to do it!
