ZZZZzzzzz

It's the 15th - time for the Dueling Darlings to have a little duel. Say what? The Dueling Darlings is made up of two groups: the Divas and the Dazzlers. Each group has a hostess and the two hostesses put their heads together and come up with a theme for that month's challenge. Then the two hostesses put together kits based on that theme and send the kits to their group members. On the 15th we all reveal our projects. It's so much fun!!!

This month Darlene is the  hostess for the Dazzlers and Tami is the hostess for the Divas.

Darlene sent the Dazzlers a kit FULL of lots of goodies...

Image: Art Impressions Lazy Boy stamped with Memento ink on Conqueror Diamond White 80# cardstock
Recollections Designer Papers: Light Blue Argyle, Green Argyle, Football, Black & White Plaid, Black Polka Dots, Black Shimmer, and Brown Shimmer
Recollections Embellishments: Brads and Washi Tape

THANK YOU, DARLENE!

Here's my card:

Isn't that image too cute!?!?!?!

Because this is a masculine type of card, I decided to go pretty plain with my layout. I also wanted the football paper to show up so angled the image a little bit.

Here's the inside of my card:

In Darlene's instructions, she asked the Dazzlers to share a funny holiday story about the guy in our lives, too. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.... that's a bit challenging for me. Let's see.

Okay, I've got 'nuttin! My guy is not all that funny, I guess. And Thanksgiving is often referred to as the "lost holiday" in our family, since I usually am already well into the process of transforming our home into the Christmas forest by Thanksgiving. In fact, some years the transformation is even complete by Thanksgiving.

So no funny stories from me; instead, I think I'll just catch my dear husband kicked back in his recliner taking a snooze until it's time for him to carry another box of Christmas decorations in from the storage room for me.

Now, let's go to the other Dueling Darling blogs and see what they made for this month's duel...

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

In addition to the items in Darlene's WONDERFUL kit, I used Recollections Black and Chocolate cardstock from my own stash.

  13. Great card my friend. I like how you used the blue DP with the football DP. I understand your comment of a plain layout and it works, cuz those guy don't want layered and cutesy. And you have a guy story...he snoozes until he has to get more boxes for you. That works great.

  14. Hi Jeanette!

Got a little delayed on my way to view your DDD Nov. card, first with a week of feeling under the weather and second by checking out more recent posts on your blog! LOL!!

LOVE your card and especially this super cute funny image! Your color scheme and use of papers definitely creates a clean and simple background for the main image. Also love how you carried the theme into the interior of the card! Terrific masculine card!
