We've been dealing with tornado clean up - from Sunday's storm that "blew over" our house. Yikes! What a mess!!!
Here's a sampling of what we've been cleaning up:
Soooooooo... I'm late to show you my card. The Mystery Image swap was due on the 18th, so I could have shown you then, but I didn't. LOL!
Here she is:
Paola (a.k.a. Sweet P) is the hostess this round, so she provided the image - C.C. Design "Mrs. Claus". I love the smiling face on this image. THANK YOU, Sweet P, for a great image to use!
Truthfully, I didn't use the entire image - I cut it off from the skirt down.) "Mrs. Claus" has one leg bent up, so it looks like she's standing on one leg. I don't know why, but it makes me think of a flamingo... or worse yet, like she lost a leg due to an injury. So I didn't want to use the bottom of the image. No problem! Nothing a good paper trimmer can't take care of.
I went with minimal layers, flat embellishments, and nearly naked card interior - since these had to be mailed to Canada and I wanted to reduce shipping costs. Call me cheap!
Here's the inside of my card:
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Image: C. C. Designs Mrs Claus stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Sentiment: (EEK! I can't remember who makes it) stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink
Coloring: Copic Markers
Cardstock: Recollections Black
Designer Paper: Solid Green from an unknown vendor
Embellishments: Stickles Glitter Glue and Ribbon from an unknown vendor
Oh sweet friend, I have been praying and watching the news - so glad you are all doing okay despite the turmoil.

ReplyDeleteOh Jeanette - so glad you are all o.k. and that it is basically 'superficial' damage. God be praised that you are safe and unharmed.
ReplyDeleteLove you card,, and I think cutting off the legs of the image worked beautifully.
