A Peek at My Week

We’ve been on vacation this week! YAY! It was a wonderful 8-day trip that included a couple of days with my parents and then four days in Branson, Missouri. We ate. We shopped. We saw some shows. We relaxed. We had fun!!!

We got back home Friday night and Saturday was spent doing a mountain of laundry and a multitude of other tasks. Whew! I’m worn out!

THIS WEEK

  1. I organized… hmmmm… Does sorting laundry count?

  1. I cooked… one meal. That’s it! And it wasn’t much. LOL!

  1. I bought… a Christmas ornament at the Branson Scenic Railway! It’s such fun. It will go on our Vacation Christmas tree. (Oh, and I also found a wonderful LSS in Branson called Scrapbooks Forever… where I just HAD to buy a new stamp or two.)

  1. I’m enjoying… NO alarm clocks. We didn’t have to set one all week. You know how I hate the sound they make, right? But DRATS! Tomorrow it’s back to setting an alarm clock.

  1. I made… several yo yo’s for the Yo Yo Angels that our mission group is going to give as Christmas gifts this year.

  1. I procrastinated… on preparing my Sunday School lesson, but managed to get it finished in time to teach Sunday morning.

  1. I learned… that my oldest son cut his hair VERY short. I saw a picture. It looks good!

  1. This weekend I’m… BUSY trying to catch up! So much to do and so little time to do it.

  1. I’m working on… swaps that are due soon!

  1. I’m blessed… that we got to try several new eateries while on our vacation. We decided not to eat at the same kinds of places that are available around here. One of the places we found in Branson is called Mel’s Hard Luck Diner. Oh how fun! And the food was delicious, too. The servers not only treat their customers well, they also entertain. John Sager was our server and he was awesome! He provided great customer service and made us feel comfortable. And he sang beautifully! If you’re ever in Branson, be sure to check out Mel’s Hard Luck Diner. I highly recommend it!

Thesee aren’t very good pictures, but I took them of John Sager on my iPhone while he was singing How Great Thou Art

My 30-Minute Challenge… One night in the hotel I decided I needed to color. You know how I love to color with my Copics, but I didn't take them with me on vacation. Instead, I took my new Inktense Color Pencils and I tried them out for the first time. I gave myself 30 minutes to play. And I had fun!

My goals for the coming week…

1.      To get the house cleaned and organized – ready to get out the Christmas decorations. WOO HOO!!! The forest transformation is starting a bit late this year, but that’s okay. I plan to start the beginning of next week.

2.      To go to Card Class on Wednesday. It meets nearly every Wednesday, except in December. I try to go at least twice a month. But my life has been so hectic the past several weeks, so I haven’t been since September.

3.      To get a couple of swaps finished and mailed.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Yay for holidays - even if they do result in loads of washing!
I pray you are refreshed and revitalized and ready to take the world
by storm again :-)
Blessings

It sounds like a nice & relaxing week. Sunday school? That sounds like a very productive way to start a Sunday. :)
