You Make Life Sweet

I'm in a blog group called the Stamp Addicts. They are a wonderful - and creative - group of women. We love chatting in the thread on SCS and sharing our love of stamping with one another.

A few weeks ago, one of the Stamp Addicts suggested that those who want to do so trade names and send a handmade card to another one of our group. I'm not a bit surprised that everyone in the group wanted to participate! THANK YOU, Paige, for a GREAT idea and for swapping the names for us!

We each promptly received our "name" (Lynn and I were paired up) and were told to have a card in the mail in time for the recipient to get it by the end of July. (I waited until now to show you the card I made, because I didn't want Lynn to see it on my blog before it had a chance to arrive in her mailbox.)

Here's the card I made for Lynn:

Here's the inside of the card:

Lynn really DOES make life sweet! I'm so glad she's one of my friends, and a fellow Stamp Addict!

I wanted to make the delivery of her card a little special, too... and I'd seen some directions on a fun way to mail a card on The Spotted Chick's blog some time ago and decided to give it a try myself.

The pictures don't show it very well, but here's what my "package" looked like....

I didn't put candy in it, like The Spotted Chick's tutorial mentioned... I put cardmaking embellishments in it. ;)

I sure hope Lynn enjoyed her card!

I absolutely LOVE the card Lynn sent to me!

Here it is:
