We've had some unseasonably cool weather the past week or so, but this week's forecast shows more normal summer temperatures - even up to the 90's. Just when I was ready to think "fall". LOL!
So it seems appropriate that I have two summer-themed Challenges to tell you about today.
August 20 - 26
This is the picture to {PIN}Spire us this week:

August 20 - September 2
Theme: Use the Color Pink
Twist: Show some outdoor things
Here's my card:
I did something I've wanted to do for a long time with this card. I used a flamingo notecard for the base of my card. I bought the box of notecards because my daughter was into flamingos and I kept thinking they would be fun to "decorate." I finally did it!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I hope you'll participate in the {PIN}Spirational Challenge and the Twisted Tuesday Challenge!

Your cards are adorable!!! And, yeah it's pretty chilly here in St. John's, Newfoundland this morning. I had to turn on the fireplace and put socks on my feet!!! Brrr!!! But I think there's still a little bit of summer left yet. We won't worry!!!
ReplyDeleteBoth are great! Love the little surfer boy and all the fun papers and the flower and that flamingo paper on the second one.
ReplyDeleteIf you need to warm up, come to Texas!

Your cards are always fun! Love them both!
ReplyDeleteI would love to shop your DP stash! Love the Beach themed card and the DP you used is just perfect! I really love the Dp on the 2nd card- of course, I love pink, so that big flower is so pretty and love the flamingo's in the background!!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards! The beach boy is very cute and I like that background paper... perfect card for a little guy.
ReplyDeleteThe flower is such a fun, cheery card and I like you you added the button to the center. Again, that's great background paper.
What great cards Jeanette - love the beach boy, but the one that really tickles my fancy is the second one - not only the flamingos, but also the way you placed your leaf up between the petals of that gorgeous flower.
