Today is the 15th of July, which means it's time for the Dueling Darlings to present this month's projects.
Our hostesses this month were Deb for the Dazzlers and Barb for the Divas and they had a GREAT theme for the duel...
Cool Creations
Deb sent the Dazzlers a FUN kit!
DP & Ribbon: Ice Cream Parlor by Stampin' Up!
Image: Good Ol' Summertime by Stampin' Up!
Paper Straw: A Muse
Buttons & Flowers: SU! and Michael's or Joanns
Craftworkcards Candi – pink dots
THANK YOU, DEB!
As soon as I saw the kit, the thing that stood out to me was the paper straw. (I know, kinda silly that it's the thing I was most drawn to, but it was.) So my creative juices started there.
Here's the front of my card:
Yes, the straw and the cheerful yellow of the flower made me think of lemonade... so I created a glass of lemonade by freestyle cutting a piece of soft yellow cardstock and an overlay of vellum into the shape of a glass.

Okay, here are some more pictures of my card...
The cute image that Deb sent is actually inside my card.
Here's the inside:
This card was such fun to make!
Another part of the challenge was to share what our favorite summertime cool treat is. hmmmm............. Chocolate Marshmallow Shakes from J & L Ice Cream in Cisne, Illinois! Oh my! Delicious!!! And it's a mere 20-minute drive from my house.
Now, before we head over to the other Dueling Darling blogs to see what they've made, here's a little more lemon humor for you...
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I hope you'll check out the other Dueling Darling blogs, too. They would love to have you stop by for a visit!
