Summer

Today seems to be a summer'y day. ;) Both of my cards make me think of summer.

First there's the ABC Challenges card...

June 24 - 30

Theme: Red, White, and Blue

I honestly couldn't quite figure out what to do with this one. I like to use Stampin' UP! stamps whenever possible for the ABC Challenges - just because Patty (the owner of ABC Challenges) is a SU demo and I like to honor her that way. But I didn't have any patriotic SU stamp sets. So instead I decided to use a new set that I just recently got - Feeling Sentimental.

I need to practice some more with the ferris wheel stamp... it looks wonky to me. But I didn't have time to perfect it (I made this card as I was rushing to get ready to go to Thailand for nearly two weeks), so it is what it is.

I guess you figured out that I created my own DP with the Celebrate stamp.

Here's the inside of my card:

My second card truly is a Summer'y card...

June 24 - July 7

Theme: Summer Fun

Here's my card:

Isn't she darling?
She's a MelonHeadz image!!!

And it just amazed me that I actually found a ribbon in my stash that had summer fun on it. WOW! What's the odds of that???

Here's the inside of my card:

Yes, that's another image from the MelonHeadz Water Fun Bundle.
