If you are a Sketch first kind of card-maker, the ABC Challenge is going to make you very happy this week. It's a sketch!
November 12 - 18
I decided to make a Christmas card with this great sketch.
Here's my card:
The snowflake designer paper (the three panels as well as the image piece) all came from the same scrap of paper. My sister actually gave the scrap to me, along with a whole lot of other fabulous scraps. I love how this one had various colors of blue in the one small piece.
You'll notice that I sort of carried the sketch to the inside of my card, too. Notice the three panels...
This card was so much fun to make!
I hope you'll decide to participate in the ABC Challenges this week. I'd love to see what you'll do with the sketch!
Image & Quote: Red Lead Paper Works Dash Away All
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Cardstock: Paper Co. Black and Stampin' UP! Bashful Blue
Designer Paper: from my scrap file
Embellishments: Michael's Pearls
This is so pretty, Jeanette. Love that image and the papers are awesome!
ReplyDeleteLove this card, Jeanette! Those stamps are perfect for the sketch and I love the papers you've chose for panels! Great job!
ReplyDeleteVery clever to use the same paper all the way through, with beautiful results Jeanette.

LOVE the sketch. I'm going to try to play with you guys this week...fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteI'm not even going to say anything about you stamping on the DP. LOL
ReplyDeleteI love the colors and the way you worked the layout on this card!
Great Card! I love the sketch that you used!
ReplyDeleteYou could not have picked a better color for that image, just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fabulous card!!! Love Santa and the sleigh - reminds me of when i was a little girl and we would drive around trying to spot Santa and reindeer in the sky on Christmas Eve. I too usually start with my DSP and build from there - unless there is that rare occassion that I don't use any paper. Hugs D
ReplyDeleteTotally impressive! Love the image on top of that paper! Carrying the layout to the inside is very nice, indeed!
