Each month one of the Crafty Gals serves as hostess and comes up with a theme. We create something suitable for the theme and post it to our blogs on the 5th of the month. This month I had the honor of being the hostess! WOO HOO!!!
Here's my theme:
“Get Punchy”
I absolutely love creative punch art! (Have you seen my Pinterest Punch Art Board?) I know not everyone loves punch art, but I do. I also know that a lot of us don’t have many punches. Therefore I’m not going to make this challenge too difficult.
The Simple Plan: Make a card using a punch somewhere on it. Easy Peasy!
The Advanced Plan: Make a card where you use punches to make something they were not originally intended for. For example: Use oval punches to make a frog, use circle punches to make a snowman, use the stocking punch to make a stick horse, use a heart punch to make a Christmas tree, use a variety of punches to make a chef or witch or elephant, etc.
I can hardly wait to see what the Crafty Gals punched! But before we go check them out, here's my card...
It's an elf!
Now, lest you think I was able to come up with this idea on my own, let me assure you I did not! I'm not that creative! I actually found a couple of Punch Art Elves (on Pinterest) and sort of combined the two ideas into one. One of the elves was made by Cristy Butzen. I really wish I could give credit to the other blog/elf I CASE'd, but for the life of me, I haven't been able to find it again. UGH! I hate it when that happens.
Here's a close up view of the little guy:
And, of course... you know what's coming...
Yep, I had to do a little something inside my card, too.
Now, let's head over to the other Craft Gal's blogs and see what they punched. You can find the links to their blogs in my left sidebar.
Thanks for stopping by today! I truly do appreciate each and every one of you!
