How Do You Define CAS?

CAS is challenging for me. How does one define CAS? For me, it's any card I can create in 15 minutes or less. LOL!

Now, some ladies are masters at CAS. Two of my online friends, for example... Melina and Patty. You may know them. They are both part of the Twisted Tuesday gals.

Soooooooo it should not have surprised me when Patty posted the Crafty Girls challenge for July. Crafty Gals are a blogging group. Each month (on the 5th) the Crafty Gals have a challenge. Patty is the July hostess, meaning she got to choose this month's challenge.

Patty's challenge is Christmas in July....... and it must be CAS.

Remember my definition of CAS... any card I can create in 15 minutes or less.

Here it is:

From start to finish, including pulling out supplies and planning the layout: 13 minutes!

Please note that time frame did not include cleaning up my work space when finished. LOL!

The reason this card was so easy (and fast) is there is no stamping or coloring involved. It is simply embossing folders, designer papers, cardstock, ribbon and rhinestones. Easy Peasy!

With 13 minutes of time, I even did a little somthing inside:

Now, be sure to check out the other Crafty Gals blogs (links in my left side bar) to see the Christmas CAS creations.

Cardstock: Stampin' UP! Handsome Hunter and Real Red
Designer Paper: from my scrap file (compliments of my sister, who made envelopes and gave me her leftover scraps!)
Ebmossing Folders: Sizzix
Embellishments: Michael's Rhinestones and Stampin' UP! Grosgrain Ribbon
