I don't really have a favorite color, though I do usually gravitate toward either black or dark brown for my layers under the focal color/papers. I think that sort of makes the other papers/elements pop.
I do have favorite embellishments, though. You've probably noticed that I often use ribbon and/or brads on my cards.... so I used both on this card, as well as a button.
And of course I had to use some designer paper; I always do! I gave it full attention inside my card.

Jeanette, very cute card. I do the same thing with black or brown through layers. Love the effect. I don't do insides though, I should, it looks great!!!.

Did you make the diamond embossed DP? It's lovely and the image is sooo cute. Colored to perfection. Like you, I adore brads & ribbon so of course love that on your card. The inside really shows off the diamond paper (you can tell that's a hit with me!)
