A Treasure Hunt Apple

It's time for another TREASURE HUNT!

As you probably recall, last summer I went to yard sales in search of items to use in card-making. The items found did not necessarily need to be actual paper-crafting items. In fact, I preferred it if they weren't. Each week, during my treasure hunts, I posted a card to my blog featuring one of the treasures I found. (I bought some extra items so I could keep up the blog posts even in the winter. BTW, this morning our temperatures are well below zero, much too cold for a yard sale.)

Here's what I found on one of my outings.

In case you can't tell from the picture, it's a sweater with a teacher theme embroidered/appliqued on it. And it has the most awesome crocheted apple buttons. I knew they'd be perfect for a Treasure Hunt creation.

The cost of the sweater: 25 cents

Oh, and in case you're worried about landfills, I sewed some plain black buttons onto the sweater and donated it to our local thrift store.

I used an adorable apple-themed image for my card - CC Designs Apple Emma

And of course I just HAD to use some APPLE designer paper.

And apple ribbon, too.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I think I'm going to go find an apple to eat. I seem to be craving one for some odd reason.
