A Look Inside

I have another Treasure Hunt creation for you today. Remember how I love to go to yard sales and I hunt for "treasures" that I can use on a card... preferably things that are not intended for papercrafting. Well, one of the treasures I found last summer looked like it had great potential. In fact, I had an idea for how to use it even when I bought it.

A pair of tiny wooden shutters
Cost: 5 cents
Well, some ideas do seem to look better in my head than they do when I get them finished. LOL!

I tried to create a section of a house, with a window and a window box overflowing with flowers.

I used a piece of overhead projector transparency for the window and put an image of a little girl holding a freshly baked pie inside the home.

Like I said, some things look better in my mind.

No matter how many pictures I took, it still looks kind of plain!
But it was fun....... as are all Treasure Hunts!

Thanks for stopping by. Would you like to have a piece of pie and a cup of coffee while you're here?

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Copic markers
Cardstock: Stampin' UP! Marina Mist and all other papers from my scrap file
Embellishments: Stickles glitter glue, wooden shutters, and paper roses (vendor unknown)

  7. I think this turned out darn cute. Great job Jeanette. It is so appropriate....you read the stories and see the movies where mom put the pie on the window sill to cool (of course someone always either eats it or dumps it but the story wouldn't be the same without that happening...lol). I totally get where your clever mind was going with this...Well done!! Great use of your yard sale items too...☺♥
