It's a Mystery

hmmmmmmmmmmmm... do you suppose she's reading a mystery?

I am part of a group of Mysterious Swappers on Splitcoast Stampers. Each round, a different member is the hostess. The hostess sends identical images to everyone in the group. No one knows what the image will be.

This time Gael is the hostess and she sent us the adorable images from the ARTful Inkables Think Big set. I love this set! In fact, I love it so much that I own it. LOL! The girl reminds me of my own daughter, now all grown up. She's a Reading Teacher (of 8th graders). I am so proud of her!!! In honor of her, I colored the girl image with BROWN hair... are you happy, Brittney?

I did something quite different (for me) with the inside of the card. You see, the designer paper I used is double-sided and there was really no way to use both sides on the front of the card. Sooooooo I layered the two cardstocks and then run it through my cuttlebug, using a nestability to cut out a scalloped oval. Pretty nifty, isn't it? Then I added the designer paper to the front which allowed the other side of the paper to show through the scalloped oval on the inside of the card.

I wanted a sentiment for the inside of my card, too, so I used a sentiment from an older Stampin' UP! set called Cool Cat.
Thank you, Gael, and fellow Mystery Swappers... this has been a fun round!
