A Word from the Sponsor

Hi! I'm Kayla from Purple Panda Designs and I'm 16 yrs. old. I love to draw and I love Panda's. I love to color them purple, which is where my name came from. I love to draw animals mostly. My stamps are hand drawn from my own ideas. Please be sure to visit my blog for updates and news about Purple Panda Designs. Would love to have you as a follower. I hope you enjoy my stamps.

Be sure and check out Kayla's blog, too.

I ♥ my Grandparents

I am no longer fortunate enough to have living grandparents. My three grandparents all died within a fairly short time period many years ago. I still miss them tremendously. They had quite an impact on my life.

When I thought about the card I would make for this week's challenge, I thought of what my grandparents meant to me. They were such a blessing, always showering me with unconditional love. Perhaps the greatest thing they did for me, though, was helping me find my way to Jesus. I remember one of my favorite things to do as a youngster was to go to my grandparent's church with them. I especially loved Bible School, where my grandma was known as the Cookie Woman. She made amazing sugar cookies.

So, for my card I chose to use the Sew Many Cards Nativity Scene image.

I included the computer generated thank you sentiment, to show my appreciation to my own grandparents and the impact they had on my life.

Here's a closeup view so you can see the dimension of the card:

I also had the honor of creating a card with an image from Purple Panda Designs. Kayla, the owner, was generous enough to give the SMC Design Team an image for this purpose. Thank you, Kayla! I actually received a set of images. In the Garden includes the gorgeous sunflower image I used as well as images of a bee, a butterfly, and a caterpillar.

Here's my card:
