Treasure Hunt - Waiting for a Bite

Treasure Hunt

Last week's Yard Sale Treasure Hunt was fun... remember I search for something to use in creating a card.

This is what I found:

A Children's Stencil Kit - cost 25 cents

Here's the card I created:

I used the cloud stencil to create the clouds on a piece of Stampin' UP! Bashful Blue cardstock. I started to use a piece of sponge to dab acrylic paint onto the stencil, but ended up using a piece of bubble wrap instead. After filling in the lines of the stencil, I let the paint dry. Then I used the same piece of bubble wrap and dabbed more acrylic paint into the center ofthe clouds.

(Artist: Lynne Stansbery)
The image I used is one of the newer images at Squigglefly. These Shy Bear images (there are lots of them) are quite popular. I wanted the bears themselves to stand out, so I just colored them, leaving the rest of the image as printed, for a line-drawn look. I think it would have been cute to color the entire image, too.
I used a Martha Stewart punch to create the two layers of grass for my card. I think this punch is actually supposed to be icicles.... but it works for grass, too.
I hope you have enjoyed my creation from this week's Treasure Hunt!

I love it. What a great way to make the clouds! The image is fantastic...well the whole card is.

The bubble wrap certainly makes some fantastic cloud texture! I love your cleverness in using the icicle punch for grass too. Great card Jeanette!
